These are the pictures that we took last year at the walk. And these are some of the pictures that we took this year:
We ran into Alyssa and Ashley, two of the nurses who helped me through everything. Ash is the one who went down to labour and delivery before we got there and demanded that they give us a little bed for Jack, formula, clothes, burp cloths, and anything else that we would need to have Jack in our room with us. It was waiting in our room for us when we arrived at the LDS Hospital the day after Jack was born.
We got glow in the dark glasses and glow sticks. While I was in a line to get us some food, Jonathan took Jack to get a temporary tattoo on his face. It was a bug. Luckily it washed off the next day.
There are three different colours of lanterns that you can get that signify different things. White lanterns are carried by survivors of blood cancers. Red lanterns are for everyone who was a care giver or supporter of someone who is/was going through treatments. Gold lanterns are the most special and signify if a person has been lost to blood cancers.
My boys! Two of my many supporters and care givers who got me through my cancer. We wished that everyone who helped me through could have been with us for this great experience.
There were so many people there who were walking and it was great to see so many supporters
