Something good this way comes.

Bella and her pumpkin. I think she named it pork chop
We went golfing with Dad's Elders quorum today at Pierce park golf course. About 10 guys showed up and we played a classic scramble game.
Jake came and didn't do too shabby! most of the shots that we took were within 5 feet of each other. We had a grand ol' time on a beautiful saturday morning.
I liked this shot because I got the ball in the shot as well. It's as the very top of the screen.
So after everyone left. Dad and I and two other guys stayed and played another 9 holes. Every hole was only about 80-100 yard par 3s. so all you really needed was a putter and a pitching wedge. So I pull out my sand wedge which puts the ball really high in the air but as a shorter distance than say your driver. There I was, lined up and perfectly poise. Take the shot and when we got up to the ball it was completely flush with the soggy grass! The way I was playing I wasn't too surprised the ball wanted some rest. ;)
So lately I have had this pretty intense feeling that something great is on its way. It's helped me in a lot of ways, namely, when I am having a rough day and what not, I think to myself, "meh, its not so bad because something great is coming." what that something is, i really don't know but what I do know is that coupled with that feeling is a sense of urgency to prepare for whatever it is. Get smarter. Get stronger. Get kinder. Get more spiritually in tune...sometimes I  think that what I am feeling is what some people consider "hope" either for a better world or for better than now. But I'm pretty sure that it is more along the lines of the Lord telling me " Hey, get ready or else you wont enjoy what's coming the way you are meant to." definitely something to consider.

Lumpy Space princess

OH MY HEART!!!

This is one of the funnest shows I have ever seen in my life. It's up there with Dexters lab, powerpuff girls, Sponge Bob Phineas and Ferb and Samuri Jack. This is an episode clip where Finn (the human) and his friends help boost the confidence of an army of cute creatures with the thirst for blood. Lumpy space princess makes me laugh so hard every time she is on so I picked my favorite clip that I quote daily haha "OH MY HEART!!!"

At the studio with Jake (Interstate)

Jake called me up to come listen to his band "Interstate" as they recorded a few new tracks for their EP.
This is Matt, he was the guy in charge of the studio. A lot of the components and electrical stuff there, he made himself! It was pretty cool to see the different kinds of sound that he could digitally make. Not to mention his sweet lava lamps.
There's Kyle. He's the singer for Interstate and also the piano player. Interstate is doing pretty well and they have a concert scheduled for the 29th of September at the End Zone bar on University and Broadway at 8:00pm.

The recording equipment was able to pick up every individual note on the piano so if Kyle hit a miss note, Matt could go in and delete that one note! I've never seen that before and it was really cool. Matt says it is different from auto-tuning to the extent that an instrument like a piano can be completely digital and a voice is just a raw sound wave.
So there I was, on my way to this guys house and I was following a guys suburban. A cop car was waiting to turn and as soon as the sub and I were crossing his path his lights flipped on...the Sub and I quickly accelerated to the speed limit to give us some space from the cop car because he was stuck behind a another car. The sub and I's hearts were racing as we created a lot of distance. Fortunately I ducked into the neighborhood that I was suppose to and parked behind a big van. The sub was on his own. He was a marked car because he was a real ugly light green and had a bike rack on the back of his car. Not to many of those around. Mine, was a silver honda accord haha. As I was sitting there, hoping the police wouldn't round the corner, I realized, I didn't DO anything wrong... that just seemed to be the way that I naturally reacted because his lights turning on. crazy I know. I talked to Kyle about it and he agreed that when a cop asks you if you have any weapons in the car, you look around as if you wanted to check. Why is that?

Welcome Everyone

Today marks the day I open my blog to the public. My goal is to update this puppy weekly with pictures and videos of my seemingly interesting life. What I find more interesting is how even in the little things someone can find satisfaction and humor. So if you like doing something you enjoy you are more than welcome to browse at your convenience or when it's easy for you.

Update

This last week has been pretty rough for a lot of reasons. I don't think that I have felt this many different emotions since my mission. In that way it's refreshing but in a lot of other ways it takes me back to times that I would have liked to forget while serving. I know that because of those things I am better and stronger and in the back of my mind I have those memories to draw out and learn from. At the same time it helps me to understand how weak I actually am. I have a lot more to prepare for that's for sure...in my global citizenship class we are learning about cultural interpretations and the different kinds of ways that people can be irrational. They can be irrational based on culture (where they grew up) or situational (like being stuck in traffic and getting upset) or by "awfulizing" which is when your culture will make something worse than it needs to be.

Justin and I wrote a letter to Katelyn and sent some pictures of ourselves to evenly distribute to the cute sisters out in the field. Sure it's an investment, hopefully we can benefit from it ^^ School is going pretty good. I have "A's" and "B's" and a high C in Macro Econ. Work is still going good. I picked up a 5 am to 9am shift this Saturday so that should be interesting because I close the night before ha ha. so Ill be at work for 4 hours then take a nap for 4 Hours and then be back to work for another 4 hours. It's all good as long as the monies keep comin.

Denver

Downtown Denver. It was really nice to go there and meet with very powerful and wealthy individuals. What I thought was interesting was the types of people that would work at these different places.
A purple suburban! This chick was rockin it too haha.

we rented a van and our leader drove us around to where we needed to go. The weather was really nice because it was 85 degrees and slightly windy. So it was still nice wearing a suit and white shirt. The guys that were in my group were all married and in their last semester of school haha they were looking for a big job interview and all we really got from the companies we visited was a more "our business 101" and not a lot of job placement/internship opportunites.
We made a lot of good connections with people and I hope to keep in contact with them for the future.
One night we went to a mexican place and had dinner. It was really good and they gave us sooo much food.
We went to the corporate head quarters of Red Robin and it was an amazing building!

we visited red robin, target, baileys moving and storage company, CXO (networking company), flagship services, marriott hotels, amplifire, karsh and something lol I forget. All of them were really good, some were better than others but others were really good. good trip.

Jake in town!!

On Sunday my apartment threw together a BBQ and I was in charge of the Corn so I called up Dad and asked him what to do to grill the corn. They turned out alright, I definately learned what to do and what not to do for next time.
parts of the corn were done really well but others would have been better with more butter haha.
Late Friday night Jake Vp and his girlfriend Nikki came to Rexburg and that next Saturday we drove to Mesa Falls. It was sooo nice out.
We would have caught her if she was going to fall. After the day was over I showed Jake that picture and he was like, " awww she was holding onto the rail?...." hahah I love that guy.

This was one of the look outs on the way to Mesa falls. When we got back Justin took them to Sammys ( a local Ice cream shop) and after that I took them to the Sand dunes. we wandered the dunes for about two hours haha looking for this hidden lake. We didnt end up finding it and i think its become a inside joke to say " its just over those next dunes i swear!!" when you have no idea where you are haha. Then we went to Gator Jacks, this penini place and then Kiwi loco, a soft serve ice cream place. after that we were all tired and we met up with Chanae and watched a movie at her Apt. It was a long day but really fun. It was great to see them. This up-coming weekend Chanae and I are going back to Boise to hang out a bit. She wants to go garage saling with Mom, i guess she is quite the Sailer herself. should be good.

Mother's day, Work, School

This is the Mother's day card I bought for Mom, I got the last one! Seeing that every other card like it was a birthday card I decided that I would break the tradition and get a pop-up one.
This is where I work, I do laundry, Eat, Do home work and Fold clothes. Sounds a lot like home, I just get paid haha.
We Slide there card and have touch screens to check them in and out with. But we mainly use it to look up people we know and to pull up their student ID pictures. Its our own little stocker net in the Locker room.
This was Chanae before She went out for a girls night (while I worked) Thats usually how it goes. Her roommates aren't getting tired of me anymore because I have to go to work when they want to play with Chanae. It's a delicate balance that we have to keep.
Every time we close I am soooo tempted to jump in and swim for a while. No one is there, its dark and the only light is coming from the pool....soo cool.
This is the New MC to the left (outside the picture) is a HUGE food court but for some reason we dont have any franchises in there so its just good school food. and the place is relatively quiet due to the carpet and acoustics of the building.
They are going to build an amptheatre out there. it should be done by the end of the fall semester so I hear.
The new skywalk. its really warm. It links the MC to the Library.
the "C" Mom made for Chanae's Birthday. She pulls it out every now and then and oooos and awes lol Her Mom Really liked it too. Speaking of which, I think I hit it off really well with her Mom this week. I was nervous at the beginning but today when Chanae was at class I took her to great Harvast and we got a muffin and sticky buns and talked about how She can tell that Chanae is relaxing a lot more since I have started to date her and that everyone at home can tell that there is something more easy going and receptive about her. Her Mom and I had a lot in common actually. She grew up in Hawaii and had nearly all the korean food I have had, even the crazy stuff! We high fived a lot while Chanae rolled her eyes. I think the kicker was when we played Apples to Apples. I would almost always pick her Mom's card and She Would almost always pick mine hahaha. I think I left a good impression. We'll see tomorrow though when its discussed over the dinner table. Chanae promised to fill me in on how I did.
